The project dates back to 2019; Start Your Collection is based on the idea of providing to all of Fondazione Aria members the basic tools to get started into the Art market: from market dynamics to the creation of a private or corporate contemporary art collection, via the first purchase. Its first edition ‘Collezionare, che passione!/Collecting, what a passion!’ has boasted four workshops and three guided tours. SYC’s second edition ‘Collezionismi/Collectings’ included live and online insights on the most accessible form of arts for collectors who dare to make their way through the charming path of collecting paper and photographs. Further steps were taken along a journey of discovery into the uniqueness of a practice old as mankind. Field specialists and collectors have illustrated in several meetings the required basic knowledge to seriously and consciously approach the art of collecting; in particular, the specific characteristics of art on paper and photography collecting were investigated, together with fiscal and legal aspects relevant to collection management.
